The future of Murphys Yard
Folgate Estates is bringing forward a new masterplan for Murphys Yard.
Working with a new design team, we want to open up the site to the public – creating new homes, workspaces, green spaces, and public routes that reconnect it with the surrounding neighbourhoods.
Murphys Yard has long been part of Kentish Town’s working history. Today, much of the 15-acre site remains inaccessible to the public. We believe it has the potential to contribute more to the wider community – creating a place that supports everyday life while building on its industrial heritage.
We would like to invite you to view our emerging ideas and share your thoughts.
Join us at our consultation events
We are holding a series of drop-in exhibitions where you can meet the new design team, hear our thinking, ask any questions, and share your thoughts.

Workshops
Alongside our drop-in events, we will also be running smaller workshop sessions in July to hear more detailed feedback on emerging ideas for Murphys Yard.
Spaces will be limited, so we are asking people to register their interest at this stage. Please use the contact form below to tell us which workshops you would like to attend, and we will be in touch with further details, including dates and times.
Workshop 1: Kentish Town Edge
Jobs, businesses and local workspaces
This workshop will look at how Murphys Yard could support local jobs, businesses and workspaces. We will ask what types of spaces would be useful, how they could work well for local people, and how the plans could support Kentish Town High Street.
Workshop 2: Gospel Oak / Heath Edge
Routes, green spaces and public spaces
This workshop will look at how people could move through and around Murphys Yard, and how new green and public spaces could work. We will ask how routes could feel safe and welcoming, and how the plans could support nature and wildlife.
Workshop 3: Dartmouth Park Edge
Homes, buildings and local character
This workshop will look at how new homes and buildings could fit in with the surrounding area. We will ask about things like materials, planting, streetscape and how this part of Murphys Yard could sit comfortably next to nearby streets and local places.
