The future of Murphys Yard
Folgate Estates is bringing forward a new masterplan for Murphys Yard.
Working with a new design team, we want to open up the site to the public – creating new homes, workspaces, green spaces, and public routes that reconnect it with the surrounding neighbourhoods.
Murphys Yard has long been part of Kentish Town’s working history. Today, much of the 15-acre site remains inaccessible to the public. We believe it has the potential to contribute more to the wider community – creating a place that supports everyday life while building on its industrial heritage.

Earlier this year, we shared our early proposals for a new masterplan for Murphys Yard with local residents, businesses and community groups.
Following our first phase of consultation in June and July, the design team has been reviewing your feedback, undertaking further design work, and continuing to develop the masterplan for Murphys Yard.
We are now inviting the local community to explore the proposals in more detail, see how the masterplan is developing, and share further feedback.

Getting to the events
Both events will be held on site in Shed 3 at Murphys Yard. Please enter via Sanderson Close, then follow the marked route and event signs to Shed 3.
Can’t make it?
From 17 September 2026, you can view the consultation materials and share your feedback through our online survey which will be added to this page. In the meantime, you can continue to view the materials presented during our first phase of consultation and read our feedback report.
GUIDED SITE TOUR
We will also be hosting a separate guided tour of Murphys Yard as part of this phase of consultation. Spaces will be limited. Please submit your details using the form below to register your interest in the site tour and we'll be in touch shortly.
